Noun | 1. | endorphin - a neurochemical occurring naturally in the brain and
having analgesic properties. Every now and then, someone will come along in your life, that no matter what the situation, they can make you smile and laugh, just by simply being themselves. They release those endorphins that take you to a better, happier, place and set you up in a whole different frame of mine. My brother-in-law, Shaun, was like that. He was a true endorphin. I will never forget the Christmas that I heard a knocking on the window, looked out and found myself mooned by none other than Santa Claus himself! (I no longer answer knocking sounds on windows. Ever.) There was never a dull moment when Shaun was around. Many family get together's were spent with laughter, created mainly, from Shaun. He fought a long hard battle, but kept his sense of humor right up to the end. He will be a tough act to follow, and he will be greatly missed by everyone. There's no doubt in my mind he is making the angels laugh with his good natured ribbing. I can just hear him now...."Hey Jesus, what's with the dress? Has my dad seen you wearing that? Put some pants on, man...." |
