to see if he could sell it first.

Signs of Summer....

Baby Steps.

Every now and then, I get these feelings of doubt.

The would'a, could'a, should'as.

I start to over think everything and wonder

if I am doing the right thing in all areas of my life.

Luckily, it doesn't happen very often,

but when it does it can be a little overwhelming.

These feelings were sneaking up on me yesterday as I was

watching the kids color on the sidewalk.

I went over to the side walk to take a picture of the kids

and there on the steps were these little chalk footprints.

I immediately looked up and said, "Thank You."

I felt like "He" was telling me

"Just take baby steps and everything will be all right."

Landon made his grandma a birthday cake.

Strawberry with 7 minute frosting....yum!

Tim and I were standing in the kitchen when Landon
walked in with his face covered in shaving cream!
He wanted to know where the razors were because
he thought he needed to shave!
Tim let him "pretend" to shave with the protective
cover still on the razor. Landon was so funny!
He even "pretended" to get knicked!

Make a wish....

Every afternoon the dc kids, Landon and I have popcorn and a movie.

We close the curtains to make the room dark.....

Pile up on the couch with our bags of popcorn......

(I always hide a surprise in the bottom of the bag.

Jelly Beans, Fruit Chews, M&M's...)

Then we put in one of our favorite movies......

(Jungle Book, Robin Hood, Beauty and the Beast....)

Sometimes we watch for 5 minutes.

Sometimes we watch for 10 minutes.

And sometimes we actually watch the whole movie!!

Landon found a baby bird in the grass.

The wind must have blown him from his nest.

We are feeding him worms, mashed bird seed and water.

Hope he hangs in there and can fly away soon.

He's living in our garage for now, safe from our four cats!

So far, so good! :)

This is what we get for complaining about the cold weather!

Landon and his cousin's Jack and Grace,
spent most of the afternoon playing with our lawn ornaments.
Who knew ceramic squirels and bunnies could be so much fun? :)

Landon and I were cleaning out the basement for the Boy's Ranch.

I ran out of boxes and Landon said,

"Don't worry mom. I'll be right back!"

He pulled his wagon up to the grocery store and filled it to the top.

(Plus what he could carry with his hands and teeth!)

That's my boy! :)

Now that I have re-opened my Day Care,
Landon literally flies off the bus!

If you ask him, he will tell you that he has to come home
right after school because he has to help his mom with the kids!

Every afternoon I say "Hi, Landon! How was school?"
And as he flies through the house, he always replies with:
"Are the kids still here?"

I have to admit he does keep them laughing and entertained! :)

When we got home from the zoo on Sunday, we found a single red tulip laying on our back porch.

We later found out our niece Katie, had left it for us.

Sweet.

Happy Mother's Day!

When I was a little girl, my parents would take my brother and I to the Chahinkapa Park Zoo.

Some of my greatest childhood memories are from those zoo trips.

Now that Tim and I have our son Landon, I am thrilled that we can do the same for him.

We have gone to the zoo every year as a family tradition. It's the best one!!

Remember when you were little,
placing a Dandelion under your chin?
If it reflected yellow you were a butter lover!
Come to think of it....
I think we were all butter lovers! :)
